FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR– Makassar Democratic DPC is very confident of winning many seats in the 2024 Legislative Election. A special strategy to win has been prepared.
Chairman of the Makassar Democrat DPC, Adi Rasyid Ali (ARA), said there were three electoral districts (dapil) that could win two seats.
However, ARA does not want to reveal the electoral district. “Which electoral district is a secret. Other electoral districts have one seat,” he said.
“These are temporary results of our exploration. The results of our observations at the sub-district, sub-district and RT levels, existing Democratic Party branches and several surveys that we use internally,” he continued.
The Deputy Chair of the Makassar DPRD is very confident that he will be able to achieve this target because of the current political conditions. In particular, several parties were hit by many storms which greatly affected their campaign work and fundraising.
“This party’s votes are enough for one seat to vote, it’s not too big. Many of the legislative candidates who were previously in formed parties migrated to other parties because they felt they were not strong enough to compete with people who were already strong. That’s why they looked for a new party ,” he said.
Then said ARA, for all legislative candidates, the Democrats already have a formula that anyone who runs will not be in vain. The funds spent will be given large compensation.
“There are parameters that we have formulated. There are requirements in the form. What is clear is that those who are not selected will be given large compensation. Because being a legislative candidate requires sacrifice, but we appreciate it with compensation. That’s why we have prepared a special budget,” he explained.
