Young man reported missing was found beaten in Havana

Relatives and friends of a young man in Havana who was reported missing in previous hours reported that he was found alive, although they point out that he was physically attacked by someone in the municipality of Marianao.

According to information circulating on social networks, the young man was identified only as Eiko, who had disappeared last Wednesday, October 11.

“To all my Facebook friends… My little cousin has already appeared. Thanks to everyone who in one way or another helped spread the information,” published Internet user Yenery Rodríguez, who was one of the first to report the disappearance of the young man.

Eiko’s aunt joined the call for help shortly after, pointing out that the young man suffers from mental disorders, which is why his family was worried.

“To all my friends, I ask you to please help me find this child, he is my nephew and he has problems, he is lost here in Marianao,” he wrote on Facebook.

After these publications, it was reported in the comments that the young man was hit by someone before being found, but no further details were given, such as the severity of his injuries or the reasons for this attack.

“Hello, many blessings, the child already appeared beaten, they are helping him, thank you very much,” reported Eiko’s aunt.

Naturally, the revelation generated concern among Internet users, but the young man’s family has not published anything about the beatings.

“Oh, beatings for what? My God”; “But what happened to him?”, and “How evil to do that to a child. “My God, may he recover soon,” were just some of the comments made on the matter.

Disappearances on the Island

Cases like this are reported relatively frequently in the country, as worried relatives get tired of waiting for the authorities to do their job and advance the investigations into their cases.

One of the most recent to be shared was that of Yamisel Rondón Morales, a 33-year-old mother who has been missing for almost three months.

According to relatives, the woman left Granma in mid-July accompanied by two other people bound for Havana. After arriving in the capital, Rondón separated from these other two women, and she has not been seen since.

The family indicated that the other two women could not find her, and that she left without her cell phone, making it impossible for them to contact her. Despite this, they consider it very strange that she has not tried to contact her family for so long, so they have requested the community’s help to find her.
