In the department of Huila, a special security and accompaniment component has been provided for visitors who will be in the desert on the occasion of the annular solar eclipse.
1,600 police officers will be deployed on the roads of the department guaranteeing the mobility of tourists who will visit Huila, as well as in towns, urban centers and rural areas and places of public influx that visit tourist places.
Pitalito, San Agustín, Villavieja, Tello, Yaguará, Gigante, Guadalupe, Acevedo, Suaza, Isnos, Hobo and other municipalities will have massive visits from national and foreign tourists this weekend, so the Police service has concentrated on these municipalities and other areas of the department.
Colonel Gustavo Camargo, commander of the Huila Police Department, assured that the police service will focus on urban centers and rural areas in order to guarantee the safety and healthy coexistence of tourists and Huila residents who will be enjoying the long weekend in the Department of Huila.
