Here we take an in-depth look at the Pokémon Go Halloween 2023 Part 1 event, which includes encounters, Timed Research, and the debut of two new creatures.

Niantic kicked off fall in the northern hemisphere with the Harvest Festival in Pokémon Go, but that won’t be the only event taking place in October.

The Pokémon Go Halloween Part 1 event will begin later this month. In this encounters with various Poison and Ghost types will increase, in addition to the debut of two new Pokémon.

Here’s a look at everything coming with Part 1 of this Halloween event.

Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part I: start and end date of the event

The event will begin on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 10:00 am and will end on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 am local time.

Players will only have seven days to take advantage of this event.

Start of Pokémon

Two new creatures will enter the game during this event:

Greavard can evolve into Houndstone with 50 Candy.

wild encounters

In this eventplayers will find plenty of wild encounters with these Pokémon:

Ekans* Zubat* Meowth de Alola* Gastly* Haunter Spinarak* Misdreavus* Poochyena* Shuppet* Drifloon* Litwick* Phantump*

Some may even find Sandygast.

Field research task meetings

In addition to the debut of Greavard and Houndstone, other Pokémon will be available for Field Research:

Timed Research and Raids

There will be several Timed Research events during the Halloween, Part 1 event.

There will be a paid Timed Research event that will allow players to earn encounters with Phantump and Meowth in Alola by completing various tasks.

Paid Research rewards must be claimed by October 31 at 8:00 PM local time.

Additionally, two more Event-exclusive Timed Research challenges will allow Go players to earn encounters with Greavard and Spirtomb.

As for Raids, Guzzlord and Darkrai will be in Five Star Raids. Guzzlord will be on until October 20 at 10:00 local time, followed by Darkrai. Mega Gengar and Mega Banette will also be in the Mega Raids.

Event Bonuses

The Pokémon Go Halloween 2023 Part 1 event will include several bonuses for players throughout its duration:

Additional candy for capturing Pokémon with Good Throws, Great Throws, or Excellent Throws. Additional XL Candy for capturing Pokémon with Good Throws, Great Throws, or Great Throws. Trainers Level 31 or higher will receive additional XL Candy for hatching Eggs. Candy x2 for hatching Pokémon.

Among other new features, a remix of Lavanda Town’s theme will be played during the Halloween event. Additionally, Munchlax, Riolu, and Galarian Yamask can be found in 7 km eggs.
