Stock Performance in Gulf Cooperation Council Countries and Egypt: Weekly Update

The performance of stocks in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries varied during the week, due to geopolitical developments in the region. The main market index on the Saudi Stock Exchange, “TASI,” declined by 1.66% during the week, closing at 10,586.22 points.

In Kuwait, the general market index fell by 6.69% during the week, closing at 662.89 points. In Bahrain, the Bahrain General Index fell by 0.27%, ending the week at 1945.69 points.

The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose 0.57%, ending the week at 10,120.10 points. The Muscat Stock Exchange index in the Sultanate of Oman also rose during the week by 1.08%, closing at 4785.98 points.

Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian Stock Exchange index “EGX 30” rose by 3.3% during the week, closing at 20,002.1 points.
