Jakarta – WhatsApp released a new feature, namely ‘Chat Lock’. However, this feature can only be accessed using a secret code.
The Chat Lock feature is a new WhatsApp feature. Users can hide messages that can only be accessed using Face ID or fingerprint.
This feature can only be used on the main account. Secret messages can be read on a cellphone or laptop connected to a WhatsApp account.
Reporting from detikInet, WhatsApp fixed the feature. Later the hidden message can be opened using a secret code.
With this code, hidden messages will be protected with the code option. The codes used can be letters, numbers and even emojis.
“Entering the secret code will allow users to easily find locked chats even in the app search bar. Additionally, configuring the secret code will allow users to lock chats even from companion devices,” explained WABetaInfo.
New secret codes are in beta test. This feature will be available on Android and iPhone soon.
