Fatal Auto Accident in Kannur: Two People Die in Bus Collision

Kannur: Two people died when their auto caught fire after a bus collided with it at Sixth Mile near Koothuparamp city. The deceased have been identified as Parat Abhilash (38) and passenger Sajeesh in Kannankot Pilavulla, where the auto driver was pulled over in Kovallur police station limits. One person died on the spot. Another person was taken to hospital but died.

The accident took place on Friday at 8:30 pm. An autorickshaw running on CNG fuel caught fire. The bus coming towards Koothuparam hit the autorickshaw. Locals alleged that the bus was speeding. No further details of the incident are available. The bodies of both were shifted to Taluk Hospital.
It is believed that the sudden fire may have been caused by the fuel leaking in the auto-rickshaw due to the impact of the thunder.
