Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence starrer Chandramukhi 2 released on September 28. The film received mixed response and did not perform well at the box office.
The film has also been released on Netflix. After the OTT release, trolls are rising on social media against the film. The trolls have taken over the scene where Vettaiyan Raja kills Chandramukhi and her lover. It is said that Kangana and Raghava Lawrence are competing and overacting in this scene.
The scene where Kangana’s character burns alive without any expression or movement has also been criticized. Social media also says that Rajinikanth’s Lakalakalakalaka dialogue has been made iconic by Raghava Lawrence. There are also questions on social media whether this is the second part of Chandramukhi or a spoof of Chandramukhi.
P. Chandramukhi 2 was directed by Vasu. The film was produced by Subhaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions.
‘Chandramukhi 2’ is the sequel to ‘Chandramukhi’ which created history at the box office 18 years ago. Chandramukhi, starring Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu and Nayanthara in lead roles, was released on 14 April 2005.
