An Israeli bombing in southern Lebanon on Friday claimed the life of Reuters photographer Issam Al-Abdullah, who was covering events in the region.
The agency said in a statement that “a Reuters videographer was killed in southern Lebanon,” adding that it was “urgently seeking more information and working with the authorities in the region” to do so.
Shortly before his death, Reuters photographer Issam al-Abdullah posted on his account on the “X” platform a video clip of a bombing in the vicinity of Alma al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
On Friday, the Israeli army announced that it had bombed Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, using one of its drones.
