Microsoft’s $68.7 Billion Acquisition of Activision Blizzard Approved: Latest Updates on Xbox and Call of Duty Publisher Merger

There is nothing stopping Microsoft from making a connection with Activision Blizzard. UK Competition and Markets Authority after a protracted process approved a historic acquisition worth $68.7 billion.

British officials blocked the deal in April, worried about the impact on the emerging cloud gaming market. Microsoft has addressed these concerns by selling non-EEA cloud gaming rights for all Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft. It will also offer the titles in the Ubisoft+ subscription, where they will also be available to us from Europe.

Microsoft previously agreed with Activision Blizzard to close the acquisition by 10/18/2023. An official announcement about the Xbox and Call of Duty publisher merger is expected today.

We are preparing further information. We will update the article.
