ABU DHABI, October 13 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi government is participating in the “GITEX Global Technology Exhibition 2023”, which is being held from October 16 to 20 at the Dubai World Trade Center, to highlight the progress that the emirate has made in terms of digitizing its services and using modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, To enhance government performance excellence.
For the twelfth year in a row, the Abu Dhabi Government is showcasing its latest innovative initiatives within the largest event in the field of technology and emerging companies in the world, and 33 government agencies are participating in the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion in Hall (19 – B20), along with many local and international partners.
This participation comes under the leadership of the “Government Empowerment Department”, previously known as the “Government Support Department”, which is responsible for enabling the digital transformation process at the level of the Abu Dhabi government. During the GITEX Global Technology Exhibition, the department will supervise enhancing cooperation and concerted efforts between all government agencies and partners, to enable visitors to the exhibition to have a smooth and unified experience. The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion will witness the unveiling of more than 110 pioneering projects aimed at providing an exceptional and distinct experience to all its visitors, which truly embodies the slogan “Leading the Digital Future.”
His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al-Kitab, Head of the Government Empowerment Department, said: “GITEX International Technology Exhibition is a pivotal platform for highlighting the achievements of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, its future aspirations, and its commitment to empowering its citizens and residents. What is displayed in this event reflects the vision of the country’s wise leadership, and is in line with the strategy of… Innovation and digital transformation in Abu Dhabi are within the framework of keenness and striving to meet the needs and requirements of all segments of Emirati society and the business sector and achieve the ambitious future aspirations of the emirate.”
The Abu Dhabi government initiatives, which are being displayed at the GITEX International Technology Exhibition, fall within the framework of its five main priorities: “Government Services”, which aims to enhance the efficiency of digital platforms and service centers to improve and facilitate customer experience, and “Government Solutions”, which aims to achieve integration between entities. Government and establishing a joint work approach that supports the needs and aspirations of the Abu Dhabi Government, “Data and Artificial Intelligence”, which revolves around sharing data in a secure and reliable manner to help in decision-making and enhancing government efficiency, “Cybersecurity”, which focuses on protecting digital assets, and finally “Digital Empowerment”, which It aims to seamlessly connect digital systems, stakeholders and partners.

It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi government pavilion at the GITEX 2022 International Technology Exhibition attracted 40,000 visitors. The pavilion witnessed the signing of 52 partnership agreements and the display of more than 100 innovative initiatives and projects. More initiatives, services and partnerships are scheduled to be announced in the 2023 exhibition session.
