The imposing Saint-André Cathedral of Bordeaux located on Place Pey-Berland was built in the 12th century, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. It was notably the place of illustrious marriages in History such as that of Eleanor of Aquitaine with Louis VII in 1137 or that of Louis XIII with Anne of Austria in 1615. Although damaged during the French Revolution, it was has stood the test of time thanks to restorations and still stands proud with its Gothic architectural elegance in the heart of the city.

It has therefore established itself as a majestic place to welcome this artistic prowess and turn towards modernity, a first in France.

In addition to the original artistic proposal offered to the general public, the Luminiscence project, placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Cultureis committed to the conservation and promotion of French heritage.

This is how part of the proceeds from the event will be devoted to the restoration of the great organs of the cathedral with the creation of a new instrumental part inside the restored Monument-Historic buffet.
