The article by Donkerlo and Van Casteren (Don’t create unnecessary panic: allow glyphosate12/10) distinguishes between the framing and the facts. However, there is one thing that bothers me. Proponents of glyphosate argue that its use requires less plowing. And that is good for soil life. It is conveniently forgotten that glyphosate also has a negative effect on soil life. In normal use, glyphosate causes nerve damage to worms and insects. The reasoning that glyphosate leads to better soil life is, in my opinion, untrue and part of the framing.
