Used goods that the owners are giving away but still have a long life ahead of them: the ReVital shops give them a second chance. Now such a shop, run by Volkshilfe, has opened in Welas Park in Wels. The grand opening took place yesterday.
The offer includes clothing, books, toys, electrical appliances, sports and leisure items and antiques. They undergo quality control before they enter the shop. The aim of the project is, among other things, to reduce waste and use resources sustainably. “Anyone who comes to Volkshilfe buys with a clear conscience,” says Volkshilfe department manager Fred Edlinger, “because here the lifespan of products is extended, poverty is combated with low prices and it also contributes to integration into the labor market.” Johann Reindl-Schwaighofer, chairman of Volkshilfe Wels-Kirchdorf, thanked the employees and volunteers who are involved in the shop.
