CMA CGM Invests $600 Million in Renovation of American Terminals to Accelerate Imports into North America

CMA CGM is investing $600 million in the renovation of two of its American terminals located at the ports of New York and Bayonne, New Jersey. Named “Port Liberty New York” and “Port Liberty Bayonne”, these will see their capacities increase by 80%, allowing larger ships to dock, which will accelerate imports into North America. According to the international transport group, they will integrate “ of the latest technologies, will create around 1,000 jobs and lead to significant environmental improvements “. In partnership with the states of New York and New Jersey, the rail and road infrastructure around the terminals will be improved to contribute to the decarbonization of activities.

A consolidation of port assets in the United States

Representing strategic entry points on the East Coast of the United States, Port Liberty New York and Port Liberty Bayonne are part of CMA CGM’s American expansion plan.
