Paola Gayol, who together with Juan Ortíz, Belén Wilchen, Luciano Mezher, Ezequiel Agüero, Hi Olguín and Marcelo Gomez, is part of the organization of the event, explained: “The ‘Merlo Sangriento’ Film Festival is the first to celebrate horror films , science fiction and fantasy in the town and was born with the need to promote this genre in Argentina.”
During this meeting, a space will be allocated for sales stands with food. In addition, there will be a Cosplay, role-playing, board games, retro video games and virtual reality contest. Likewise, there will be talks by the guests about their experience in the film industry.
The closing of this second edition, which has the support and sponsorship of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the San Luis Tourism Secretariat, together with several private sponsors, will take place on Sunday, October 15, at 9:00 p.m., with the awards ceremony.

At 20:00 the screening of Latin American Shorts Program 2 will begin: “Los de al lado”, by Matías De Leis Correa; “Walkman the fourth type”, by Joaquin Ramirez; “Life and the Chocolate Cake”, by Rodrigo Elizalde with the presence of the actress “Maria Eugenia Rigón” by Bernardo Alejandro Lorenzo; Alejandro Lorenzo; “Facundo”, by Yamil Chadad; “Shadows”, by Julia Papa and Olivia Cogorno. At 10:00 p.m. the feature film “El Ucumar” by Octavio Revol Molina will be screened (in the presence of its director)

At 4:00 p.m. the activities begin and at 5:30 p.m. Ornella Barra will give a talk on production and realization of special effects. At 6:30 p.m., the screening of Latin American Shorts Program 3 will begin: “The Captain’s Eye,” by Llao Lautaro Navarra; “On the walls”, by Ramses Tuzzio; “Sacrifice”, by Aldo Enrique Apango Ortiz; “The others”, by Juan Cruz Oruezabala; “VIAS”, by Pablo Agustín Richards; “Little monster”, by María Laura Guerineau; “Miasma”, by Ailín Barco Moyano and Julieta Lucía Alaniz. At 20:00 Octavio Revol Molina will give a talk on fantasy genre film direction.
At 9:00 p.m. the Festival will close and the awards will be presented. At 10:00 p.m. there will be a screening of the feature film “Al muerte la matineé”, by Maximiliano Contenti.
