Tel Aviv: 17 Indian nationals trapped in Palestinian borders during Israel’s war against Hamas. Four of them are trapped in Gaza, the most densely populated area in the conflict. The Representative Office of India (ROI) told Onmanorama, the English version of Manorama Online, that 13 people are in the West Bank. None of the people in Gaza are Malayalis. So far, only one person in Gaza has contacted for help, ROI said.
“Understanding the situation, all efforts are being made for assistance,” the ROI responded.
Right from the start of the Israel-Palestine conflict, the ROI had suggested that security precautions should be taken for Indian citizens in Israel and Palestine.
As the Israel-Hamas conflict continues unabated, it is reported that Israel’s ground war against Hamas may occur at any moment. Hundreds of thousands of Israeli soldiers are reported to be camped on the Gaza border. The death toll has so far crossed 3,900 on both sides. The death toll in Israel has risen to 1,200. Most of the dead are civilians. More than 2,700 people were injured. More than 900 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. More than 4,600 people were injured. The clashes began early Saturday morning after armed Hamas breached the heavily guarded Gaza-Israel border fence and infiltrated southern Israeli towns.
