MEXICO CITY, October 11 (EL UNIVERSAL).- After the Legal Counsel of the Presidency urged the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, not to delay justice, the Challenges against the admission of the constitutional controversy presented by Coahuila against the distribution of free textbooks were referred to the presentation of Minister Arturo Zaldívar.
Through an information card, the SCJN reported that, in accordance with the procedures established by law and by agreement of September 5, 2023, the claim resources were transferred to the First Chamber of the Highest Court of the country, derived from the constitutional controversy 412/ 2023, presented by the government of Coahuila, headed by PRI member Miguel Ángel Riquelme.
Consequently, he noted, on October 5, the president of the First Chamber, Minister Jorge Mario Pardo Rebolledo, became aware of the matter and referred it to the presentation of Minister Arturo Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea, to whom the electronic file was turned over. on October 9 and who appointed Marat Paredes Montiel as planning secretary.
“This information is public and anyone can know it through the public consultation systems that the Court has, specifically the First Chamber,” he indicated.
He recalled that the claim resources (342/2023-CA and 346/2023-CA) go against the admission of the constitutional controversy presented by the governor of Coahuila, Miguel Ángel Riquelme, and that keeps the distribution of the books of free texts in that northern state.
Minister Luis María Aguilar Morales admitted Coahuila’s challenge to processing, as he did in the case of Chihuahua.
