Support for Ukraine will not be weakened as a result of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, says NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
– Today’s meeting has clearly shown that the NATO countries are there for Ukraine, Stoltenberg said at a press conference at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels, where the defense ministers of the NATO countries are gathered on Wednesday and Thursday.
Stoltenberg points out that on Wednesday there was a long series of new promises for weapons to Ukraine, including new air defense systems, ammunition, more F-16 aircraft and several different aid packages.
– It is a clear signal to Russia that they cannot just wait until the support ends. We are there for Ukraine. It is in our interest that Ukraine wins the war, says Stoltenberg.
