He Yungas International Film Festival (FICY) culminated its eighth edition with a spectacular final gala that brought together film lovers, environmental activists and prominent figures from the film industry. The day was marked by the screening of the participating short films and the long-awaited revelation of the winners of the international competition. In addition, the public was able to enjoy live performances that added a touch of magic to the event.

The jury was made up of the actor Sergio Prina, the actress Liliana Juárez and the director of the Environment of the province of Tucumán, Florencia Sayagowho granted the following recognitions to these cinematographic works:
1st Special Mention: “SAMY” – Argentine Short Film – Tucumano
2nd Special Mention: “CORPS À CORS” – French Short Film
Best International Short Film: “ICE MERCHANTS” – Short Film from Portugal, United Kingdom and France
The FICY, in its mission to promote dialogue on the importance of environmental conservation, the preservation of fauna and flora, and active participation in sustainable and sustainable transformation, collaborated for the first time this year with fifth-year students of public and private secondary schools in Tafí Viejo. This initiative strengthened the link between the festival and the local community, emphasizing the importance of education and environmental awareness.
