We illustrate this publication with a work by the plastic artist Saskia Verger, which was used in the poster of the temporary exhibition “Revelación-es. Contemporary Cuban plastic arts”, whose headquarters were the Regional Museum of La Laguna in Torreón, Coahuila in August 2014.
The exhibition was made up of 35 large-format pieces made by artists such as Yaumil Hernández, Saskia Verger, Yussuan Remolina, Joel Corrales Márquez, Dionel Delgado, Alonso Luis Alayo and Orestes Gaulhiac. The works exhibited showed, among other themes, the religiosity of the Cuban people, in styles belonging to the surrealist, expressionist, hyperrealist movements, among others.
