It was 5:46 p.m. this Tuesday, October 10 when the Hayange firefighters were alerted by a farmer from the Fensch valley. When they arrived, they found a young farmer with his foot stuck in a potato harvesting machine. Its conveyor belt had become blocked due to tall grass. By tearing them off, he apparently released the drive mechanism at the same time. The Hayange and Thionville firefighters were on site, as were the Samu. Taken care of, the 28-year-old young man was transported to Bel-Air hospital.
