The Polish army suffered significant losses: the Chief of the General Staff, General Raimund Andrzejczak, and the Commander of the Operational Headquarters, General Tomasz Piotrowski, unexpectedly resigned.
The newspaper Rzeczpospolita, reporting details, calls the event as follows:

According to the publication, the resignation letters of both commanders were sent the day before to the office of the President of Poland. Andrzej Duda. The Ministry of Defense does not comment on the information.
The conflict has been simmering since May 2023, when the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak publicly brought charges against the commander of the operational headquarters, Tomasz Piotrowski, accusing him of failing to report an incident that occurred on December 16, 2022, when a Russian missile allegedly violated Polish airspace.
