“The Crown” Season 6 – Final Premiere Date, Plot Details, and Cast Updates

The sixth and final season premiere of “The Crown” is ready, Netflix announces in a press release.

The popular series will end this year with two parts launching on November 16 and December 14.

The final season covers events from 1997 to 2005, spanning Tony Blair’s time as Prime Minister (Bertie Carvel).

The first four episodes (Part 1) depict a blossoming relationship between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful road trip has disastrous consequences.

The final chapter is told over six episodes (Part 2).

Here, Prince William makes an attempt to resume his life at Eton after his mother’s death, while at the same time the monarchy has to deal with the public attention and the challenges that come with it, according to the press release.

In part 2, Ed McVey and Luther Ford will play the roles of Prince William and Prince Harry, while Meg Bellamy will take on the role of Kate Middleton. These will be debut roles for all three.

Since The Crown premiered on Netflix in 2016, the series has been recognized with numerous nominations and multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
