PDIP DKI Jakarta questioned its former cadres Mega Love run as a legislative candidate (candidate) for PAN. He believes that Cinta Mega’s joining PAN indicates that the party bearing the symbol of the rising sun is only pursuing an electoral effect.
“The information we got is that Ms. Cinta was appointed by PAN as a legislative candidate and this indicates that PAN is pursuing an electoral effect, ignoring, even blinding, the consolidation process, the cadre formation process in political parties,” said DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta Secretary Gembong Warsono to journalists, Monday (9 /10/2023).
Gembong said that Cinta Mega’s registration as a PAN candidate was carried out ‘last minute’ before registration closed at the KPU. Gembong said his party would take action against cadres who violated party rules.
“We got information from the KPU on the registration of the National Mandate Party to the KPU last minute, a few minutes to 12. Why did this happen? Maybe so that people don’t spy on it. So please confirm it by the KPU. Is what I said true,” he stressed.
“Once again, PDIP prioritizes its cadres with discipline in acting, discipline in behavior, discipline in speaking, so when there are problematic cadres in the context of party discipline, the party will automatically impose sanctions,” he continued.
Gembong himself admitted that he was concerned about Cinta Mega’s behavior in playing slot games at the DKI DPRD plenary meeting some time ago. According to him, Cinta’s actions hurt the feelings of the people of Jakarta. As a result of playing slots, Cinta was fired from PDIP.
“We, the PDIP Fraction, are concerned that the PDIP cadre Mrs. Cinta Mega, who in fact has been determined by the party’s DPW to have violated party discipline, what is the violation? Namely, she is not disciplined in her actions. She is not disciplined in her actions in carrying out slot gambling in the plenary room which for the party’s DPP hurts the feelings of the people Jakarta,” he said.
Meanwhile, DKI KPU member Dody confirmed that Cinta Mega was running for election through PAN. He said the DKI KPU was still checking documents.
“The final stage of nomination is called DCT scrutiny. September 24 to October 3. The last time the person concerned is registered by the PAN party. It is still possible for the party to nominate a new party,” he explained.
Dody said that verification had been carried out until November 2. If the nomination documents are complete, the KPU will determine Cinta Mega as the permanent list of candidates.
“The plan is still in process. It’s still not finished,” said Dody.
PAN statement regarding Mega Love
Chairman of the DPW PAN DKI, Eko Hendro Purnomo or Eko Patrio, confirmed that Cinta Mega was running for election through PAN. Eko said Cinta Mega admitted that it wanted to correct previous mistakes.
“Firstly, it is true that Cinta Mega is included in PAN, namely in electoral district 9 with serial number 2. And that has been fixed,” said Eko to journalists, Monday (9/10/2023).
“Why did Cinta Mega enter PAN? Firstly, we have talked to Cinta Mega and so on, she wants to change what she has done. She has changed herself and wants to take responsibility for serving the community, in this case the people of Jakarta,” he continued.
Eko said that Cinta Mega had admitted the mistakes it had made and was expelled from PDIP. Due to this, PAN provided an opportunity for Cinta Mega to join in working for the progress of the City of Jakarta.
“What’s wrong with PAN giving Cinta Mega another opportunity to give her best, make a big contribution to the progress of Jakarta. So once again PAN is giving Cinta Mega the opportunity to prove that she can and is useful for the people of Jakarta,” he said.
