Ribnitz-Damgarten (ots)
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at around 5:30 a.m., there was a collision between a Ford car and a cyclist near Ribnitz-Damgarten at the intersection of federal highway 105 and Schillstrasse.
According to initial findings, the 35-year-old German Ford driver was driving on Schillstraße in the direction of B 105 and wanted to turn right towards Ribnitz. He apparently overlooked the 19-year-old German cyclist who was on the cycle path and had the right of way, who fell as a result of the collision and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. She was taken to the Rostock Clinic by the emergency services. The total damage caused is estimated at around 2,000 euros.
The B 105 was temporarily closed on one side for the purpose of recording the accident. A complaint was filed on suspicion of negligent bodily harm. The criminal police have taken over further investigations.
