[NOWnews今日新聞] More and more people have gotten their hands on the new iPhone 15 series, but after using it for a period of time, they have discovered various minor problems. Battery life has also become a point of reaction for many Apple fans. In this regard, the experts of “9To5Mac” took stock of “7 tricks” to greatly improve the battery life of the 15 series. One of the functions is even recommended to be turned off, which can save about 1% of power per hour.

1. Confirm the power consumption of the application

Go to your phone’s “Settings” option > tap “Battery” to view detailed information on battery usage. Check “Last 24 Hours” to understand the overall power consumption and confirm whether there are some applications silently “activating in the background”. If there are unnecessary activities, you can manually close them to reduce power consumption.

2. Start low power consumption mode

You can turn on Low Power Mode under Settings > Battery, or ask Siri to do it.

3. Automatic lock, screen brightness and always-on display

If users find that Home and Lock Screen battery usage is higher than expected, it’s a good idea to check these settings. 30-second auto-lock will help maximize battery life. Lowering the screen brightness can also help extend battery life, but it comes down to personal preference.

5. Background application refresh

Go to “Settings” > “General” > “Background App Refresh” to turn off “Background Refresh” for infrequently used applications to save battery.

6. Positioning service adjustment

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and switch apps that always use location to “Only while in use” or “Never.”

7. Mailbox push settings

Go to “Settings” > “Mailbox” > “Account” > “Fetch New Data”, set the main account to “Instant Push” to receive new emails as soon as possible, and set the less important accounts to “Every Hourly capture” or change to “manual” to save battery power.
