In a statement on Sunday, the Israeli National Security Council urged Israeli citizens to refrain from traveling to Middle Eastern countries and any other countries with travel warnings, after an isolated incident involving a tourist group in Alexandria, and on the second day of escalation in the occupied territories and the Gaza Strip.
Israel is suffering from a state of panic and hysterical fear as a result of the military escalation with the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip since yesterday morning, Saturday, which left hundreds dead and wounded, in addition to an unspecified number of Israeli prisoners.
On Sunday afternoon, a security source said, according to what was broadcast by Extra News, that a police member assigned to the security service in the Mansheya area in Alexandria randomly fired shots from his personal weapon while one of the Israeli tourist groups was present at the Pillar Pillar Shrine.
The security source added that the incident resulted in the death of two members of the regiment and one of the Egyptians, and the injury of another. The police officer was immediately arrested and legal measures are being taken against him, and the injured person was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The current escalation in the Gaza Strip between the Palestinian factions and the Israeli occupation army is a reaction to the faltering peace process in the Middle East as a result of Tel Aviv’s refusal to sit at the negotiating table to reach a solution with the Palestinian side, which prompted regional and international parties to issue calls for the necessity of working to resolve the conflict away from Violence and according to UN references.
