A big wedding is not a cheap pleasure. Newlyweds often have to part with huge sums to organize their special day. A young couple has decided to solve money matters in a peculiar way. The couple left the country without paying for the wedding, reports “The Sun”.
40-year-old Italian Moreno Priorieti exchanged rings with 25-year-old German Andras Svenja. The couple got married at the end of August in the southern Italian city of Frosinone.
80 guests were invited to the wedding.
The informal part of the wedding, or the banquet, took place at the local restaurant “Ristorante La Rotonda”.
The restaurant owner was shocked when the couple did not pay for the banquet.
According to the owner of the restaurant, the couple had paid a deposit of approximately 3,300 euros and agreed to pay the remaining amount the day after the celebration.
The day after the banquet, the owner of the restaurant went to the newlyweds with the bill in hand. It was a big surprise that they were nowhere to be found. Restaurant owner Enzo Fabrizi learned that the young couple left the country after the celebration and left an unpaid bill of 8,800 euros.
Enzo learned with the help of the police that shortly after the wedding celebration, the young couple had left Italy for Frankfurt, Germany. He reveals that he tried to communicate with the young couple in various ways. In the end, they have even deleted their profiles from social media so that they cannot be reached. At the moment, the owner of the restaurant has not yet managed to recover the money due to him.
