This is to attract support amid the final competition between Busan, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Rome (Italy) ahead of the Expos International Organization (BIE) general meeting to be held in Paris, France on the 28th of next month.
The Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Han will attend the ‘2030 Busan World Expo Symposium’ held in Paris on the 9th (local time). Prime Minister Han plans to sell Busan at an event attended by domestic and foreign figures, including representatives of BIE member countries. A meeting with French Prime Minister Elisabeth Born is also scheduled on the same day.
On the 10th and 11th, he will visit Denmark for the first time in 10 years as a Korean Prime Minister and meet with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Then, on the 11th, he will visit Croatia for the first time since the establishment of diplomatic ties and have a meeting with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, and from the 12th to the 14th, he will meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Greece. This is the first time in six years that a Korean prime minister has visited Greece. This trip will be accompanied by Oh Young-joo, Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Park Sung-geun, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister.
