Moto2 rider Alonso Lopez was amazed by the actions of a key duplication expert in Mandalika, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Alonso was amazed at how quickly it took the expert to make a dummy key. What’s more interesting is that the fare is also quite cheap, only around 6 euros or the equivalent of IDR 99 thousand.
The 2023 Mandalika MotoGP in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara will take place next weekend, 13-15 October 2023. Even though it’s still a long time away, several riders from Moto2 and MotoGP have already arrived in Lombok for the holidays. One of them is a Moto2 player from the Speed Up Racing Boscoscuro team, Alonso Lopez.
Alonso also tried renting a Yamaha Nmax motorbike for transportation while in Lombok. It turns out that Alonso experienced an unpleasant incident. Because the motorbike keys were lost. Alonso was also helped by local residents who then called a key duplication expert.
The key duplicating expert quickly made a copy of Alonso’s lost rental motorbike key. Amazingly, the key duplicating expert can complete the job in 10 minutes. This also amazed Alonso.
“One day I lost my scooter key, and I was amazed how in 10 minutes I got a new (my scooter key),” wrote Alonso in an Instagram Stories upload, seen on Sunday (8/10/2023). Alonso also explained that the cost of making the key was around 6 euros or the equivalent of Rp. 99 thousand. Cheap enough for him.
What’s more interesting, Alonso also had time to chat with local residents using English. Alonso explained to local residents that he was a Moto2 racer using a Triumph 765 motorbike. The local residents also hoped that the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP event would take place in sunny weather conditions, unlike last year which was hit by heavy rain.
Well, what’s even more interesting is that the local resident also jokingly suggested that Alonso recruit the key duplicating expert as his team mechanic in Moto2. “You have to recruit him as a team mechanic at (MotoGP) Mandalika,” joked the local resident to Alonso.
