Real Madrid Assistant Coach Fired Over Message to Barcelona: The Truth Behind His Departure Revealed

Assistant coach of the Merengues under-17s leaves the club due to a message he sent to rival Barcelona.

The English newspaper The Athletic writes this Saturday that Adria Díaz, assistant coach of Real Madrid’s under-17s, was fired after the Whites discovered a letter that the coach sent to Barcelona as a thank you.

Díaz played for the Blaugrana formation between 2015 and 2019 and sent a message thanking him for the affection and the way he was treated in Catalonia, and especially the support he received during a complicated period he went through, when his mother was suffering from cancer.

A Real Madrid source denies, however, that this was the reason for the coach’s departure, stating that the reason is related to the professional’s desire to leave for Leganés, in the second division of Spain, where he has a more financially advantageous proposal.
