Shortly after the release of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, Samsung brought consumers a new entry-level tablet Galaxy Tab A9 series. From the name, you can know that this is the successor model of the Galaxy Tab A8 released in 2021. Foreign media pointed out that the tablet has been launched in the United Arab Emirates. The country has quietly started selling it, with two models: Tab A9 and Tab A9+.
Entry level positioning
The Galaxy Tab A9 is equipped with an 8.7-inch screen that supports a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of only 800 x 1,340. It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 4/8GB RAM and 64GB storage (supports microSD expansion). As for the Galaxy Tab A9+ with higher specifications, the 11-inch screen has a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, paired with 4/8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
Two size options
Both tablets use a unibody metal body, have two Dolby Atmos speakers that support 3D Sound, and have a lens on the back. Unfortunately, the camera and battery specifications have not yet been made public. Galaxy Tab A9 is available in silver, graphite gray and blue bodies, with prices starting at US$190 (approximately). I believe Samsung will make a more official announcement later.
