GERB leader Boyko Borisov went to Veliko Tarnovo to present the candidates for mayors and municipal councilors in the city.
There he shook hands and then hugged one of the candidates.
This provoked the hall to burst into thunderous applause.
“Today I’m going to talk like a womanizer. Few of you know my personal story” – that’s what Eva Meidel said.
“My grandmother Anna was born in Draganova. Thanks to my father I know his lineage. Unfortunately, she leaves us very early due to illness. But I and one of my children, whose name is Anna, want the area to develop,” she admitted.

„For one thing, I am angry with Tarnovo and the region, and I will continue to be angry with you.
But how do you put up with Hemus being suspended for three years, folks. How do you tolerate the international road passing through your city. There is no protest!
I’ll say it now – I’ll do my best to get the Hemus going, but because of you and your behavior it’ll be three times as expensive.
Or because of your silence, patience… I can go on, but I will offend you very much – it will be much more expensive.

Here is yesterday – I spent 4-5 hours yesterday with the leader of the PP. Do you understand what I am put in – me and my colleagues,” said Borisov about his relations with PP-DB.
“I cannot be optimistic about the next few years. Your expectations that it will continue to be built and made are in vain.
But we continue to be the first political force, despite all the criticisms and repressions. The state has no money!– he admitted pessimistically.
Borisov clarified that he is not fully convinced that the Recovery and Sustainability Plan is “good and refined”.
„A very difficult time is ahead. Even with the compromises we made, I don’t know if Brussels will agree.
I watched Tagarev explain that he did everything! That pissed me off!
The previous government did not dare, but secretly – secretly, through intermediaries, gave weapons to Ukraine. You all know that the Western press wrote that Bulgaria under Cornelia Ninova is the largest arms exporter to Ukraine through intermediaries.

I know that we are losing voters to the pro-Russian people, but…” Borisov said.
In his words Finance Minister Asen Vasilev’s budget will certainly be subject to criticism.
“We were honest, but they are not. We can do without them, but they had to say that they cannot do without GERB-SDS and DPS“, Borisov also stated in an address to PP-DB and added: “Stop the hypocrisy! Tell the truth – if they are not with us we will fall!“.
“Covid is re-emerging. I hope this time will pass easily, because that time was the hardest days of my life,” he declared.
