The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle really enjoyed their friendship with David Beckham and his wife Victoria. They even invited the Beckham couple to their wedding, which he happily accepted.

“David and Victoria attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding and were very supportive of Meghan when she came to the UK,” an unnamed source told the Mail On Sunday.
David and Victoria share a very long friendship with Prince Harry, as well as his older brother Prince William. During the Spice Girls years, Victoria met the two princes several times, who were still teenagers at the time.

After Harry met Meghan, the Beckhams tried hard to help the prince’s bride settle into life in England. It has been reported that Victoria even let Megan look into her “little black notebook” and recommended her favorite hairdressers and stylists in London.
Biographer Tom Bowers, who wrote a book about Meghan and now writes about the Beckhams, told The Sun newspaper that Victoria once offered the Duchess of Sussex refuge at her Los Angeles estate when the increased public interest became unbearable for her.

In 2018, when this friendship was especially close and sincere, Megan often listened to Victoria’s advice on fashion issues and chose outfits from her fashion house collections.
A source told Vanity Fair at the time: “They get along well and have been in touch recently. Megan really likes Victoria’s style and really wanted Victoria’s advice on putting together her work wardrobe.”
But everything changed when Meghan and Harry left their lives in the UK and began to suspect their friends that the Beckhams might be leaking information about their private lives to the media.

An insider told The Sun: “Inexplicably [Megana] feared that Victoria was behind it all and talked to Harry about it. Although the very idea that Victoria Beckham would personally call reporters to break the news is ludicrous.”
“Harry is very protective of Meghan and decided to deal with the matter directly by contacting his good friend David personally. The sportsman was angered by Harry’s assumption, but pointed out the truth, and the two men agreed to move on, but it did have an effect on their future friendship.”

Last year, when the Beckhams’ eldest son celebrated his wedding with Nicole Pelz in the United States, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were nowhere to be seen at the celebration, although they didn’t even have to travel a long way to attend the wedding.
