The romantic story of the Ukrainian singer Vera Brezhneva and the Georgian composer Konstantin Meladze began about 20 years ago, and on October 6 it became known about their breakup. The couple’s relationship was accompanied by scandals, intrigues and tests of criticism, but during a full-scale war in Ukraine, the artists put an end to it.
How the stars’ romance unfolded before the eyes of hundreds of thousands of fans, whether there was infidelity and why the couple did not have children, OBOZREVATEL will tell below (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos).
The passion between the singer and composer, they say, flared up when Brezhneva became a member of the VIA Gra group. At that time, Konstantin was already married to a Ukrainian woman, Yana Summ, and was raising three children.

The wife suspected her husband of infidelity and even called her potential mistress, Brezhneva, but the artist denied everything.
Meladze and his ward have been convincing for years that they are united by exclusively friendly relations, and the star’s marriage to Ukrainian businessman Mikhail Kiperman was confirmation of this. In 2012, the Ukrainian woman divorced, it is suspected, because of infidelity with Meladze.
The truth was officially revealed after 2013, when Yana Summ filed for divorce, and in 2015 Meladze first appeared with the performer in the status of his wife.
Pair secretly played a wedding in Italy, and then finally allowed its representatives to officially confirm the news. Later, photos and videos from the wedding of Meladze and Brezhneva appeared online, and the mayor of the Italian city shared the details of the holiday.
Then it became obvious to the public that Brezhneva had been the composer’s mistress for many years. His ex-wife told reporters about this in detail. The artist was considered a homewrecker, and in Meladze’s songs they looked for references to hidden feelings. By the way, they were found.
We are talking about the songs “Salute, Vera” and “Parallel”, which were performed by the composer’s brother, Valery Meladze.
In 2021, Brezhneva admitted on RosTV that she was “no longer a girl,” but she really wanted to give birth to an heir or heiress to her husband. According to her, she was prevented from getting pregnant by “high matters” that were “beyond the spouses’ control.” At the same time, the artist assumed that she could resort to surrogacy.
In 2009, Brezhneva had a daughter, Sara, from her first marriage, and Meladze had three children from her relationship with Summ – Alisa, Liya and Valery.
In 2023 it became officially knownthat the couple separated as quietly as they got married. They hid the breakup for a long time, supported each other publicly and congratulated each other, but the paths of the former lovers finally diverged.
The reason for the celebrity was not revealed, but most likely it was due to political views. Pro-Ukrainian Brezhneva threw all her strength into reviving Ukrainian culture, helping Ukrainians and volunteering, while her ex-husband is silently holed up in Europe and produces traitor to Ukraine Sofia Tarasova.
Earlier OBOZREVATEL wrote that Meladze has already saw without Brezhneva in Europe. What does he look like now – see here.
