The police announced this on X/Twitter on Friday morning. The person has been declared dead.
The person has not yet been identified.
Operations manager in the police, Trond Egil Groth, says that the deceased has been transported to the lifeboat’s wharf. The lifeboat was quickly on the scene after the first report.
– We have another patrol that investigates the place and we are investigating whether we can find objects, a boat, or other things that can provide answers, says Groth to Dagbladet.
It is currently too early to say whether anything criminal is suspected.
– We have all possibilities open. We are in an early phase and we are investigating the incident in the usual way. We have many hypotheses when we find people in the water, says Groth.
According to Groth, the police also have no suspicions about who it might be.

The deceased was found by a person who was out in a leisure boat.
– The person was lying in the water in a shallow area, says Groth.
The fire service states that they also responded to the report.
