REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, HANGZHOU — The Indonesian archery team won a bronze medal in the men’s team recurve event at the Hangzhou Asian Games which took place at the Fuyang Yinghu Sports Center, Friday (6/10/2023).
Riau Ega Agata Salsabilla, Ahmad Khoirul Baasith, and Arif Dwi Pangestu defeated the Bangladesh team strengthened by Md Sagor Islam, Md Ruman Shana, Mohammad Hakim Ahmed in the match for third place.
Indonesia won 6-0 (56-55, 55-54, 58-54) over Bangladesh in a match that was drizzled that afternoon.
Previously in the quarter-finals, Indonesia beat the Iranian team with a score of 6-2 to advance to the semifinals against tough opponents South Korea.
Lee Wooseok, Oh Jinhyek and Kim Je Deok demonstrated the quality of the Gingseng Country archers after the 18 arrows they shot produced 11 points on target and seven 9 points in the three sets they played.
Arif et al. had to surrender with a score of 0-6 (56-57, 53-58, 55-58) to South Korea before undergoing the match for bronze.
