A new and promising platform is emerging in the Swiss music landscape: “Losbar”. Kenny Omosigho, bartender and deputy manager of the Bern bar “Zum Kuckuck”, is the brains behind the project, which aims to showcase the diverse talents of the Swiss music scene in an innovative way. With his team of three, including an audio engineer and a commercial lawyer (for all business matters), the 28-year-old hopes to bring about a change in the Swiss music scene.
A bridge for Swiss musicians
“Losbar” is an audiovisual format that is intended to close an important gap in the Swiss music landscape. Omosigho says he was frustrated that many talented artists in Switzerland did not get the attention they deserved. And this is because there is a lack of opportunities and platforms to present their music. “There is a lot of talent, but the link that introduces Swiss musicians to the world is missing.”
The heart of “Losbar” are exclusive, previously unreleased songs and unplugged versions. The videos are recorded in “Zum Kuckuck”. Surrounded by drinks and dimmed lights, the artists present their latest songs.
Tommy Vercetti, Soukey and Old Man
“Losbar” already boasts well-known artists. Omosigho has received endorsements from artists such as Tommy Vercetti, Soukey and Naïma. The format consists of a mix of well-known musicians and newcomers to the scene. The audiovisual project aims to offer something for every taste. Diversity is important to him, emphasizes Omosigho. That’s why in the future you’ll be able to hear and see everything from indie rock to reggae and French rap.
Fans and music lovers can follow “Losbar” on Instagram, where they can not only find personal messages from the artists, but also information about their music. The main content are presented on YouTube.
