Start of the Science Festival on Friday. For 10 days, young and old are invited to discover the scientific world in a different way. This year, many events on the theme of science and sport will be organized throughout France and in our region. Discover them!
Twenty-eight science villages, 133 municipalities, more than 900 manifestations and nearly 100,000 visitors expected. For its 32nd edition, the science festival, which begins Friday October 6, saw the big picture. What program in your department? In the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence
In Saint-Michel : Saturday October 7, the Astronomy Center opens its doors to allow the general public to discover the sky of Haute-Provence. On the program: observation of the sun, discovery of the planetarium, astromodeling and many fun experiences.
In Pierrevert : Friday October 13, how to become an astronaut? Arnaud Prost, recently selected by the Space Agency, will talk about his journey and his daily life. The commune of Pierrevert also offers an exhibition “leaving the earth” by the Center for Spatial Studies, to be discovered from October 7 to 15 at La Voûte des Arts.

In the Alpes-Maritimes
In Nice : on October 14 and 15, meet at the Colline du Château for numerous workshops and conferences. On the theme of sport, for example, measure your physical condition, discover your top speed and play to fight against gender inequalities in sport.
In Villeneuve-Loubet : October 7 and 8, a 100% sports science village. Escape game, scientific games, screenings of the film “Remarcher” and round table with sponsors Jeff Tordo and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

In Bouches-du-Rhône
In Marseille : on October 7, meet planet Earth thanks to GAIA. The project created by artist Luke Jerram invites us to discover our planet as if we were seeing it from space. A unique installation measuring 7 meters in diameter fashioned from high-definition images from NASA.
In Martigues : October 13, a day full of workshops for teenagers and older children. On the program, learn to pilot a drone, discover how to program a video game or even test your driving on a simulator.
In the Hautes-Alpes
In Gap : Saturday October 14, the Gap science village offers fun and free workshops for the whole family, from four years old. Biodiversity, robotics, stars, numerous themes will be addressed by experts and research laboratories.
In Chorges : from October 6 to 13, go cycling! The media library invites you to question the energy production that cycling could generate, through a scientific journey. To go further, a projection powered by velectrogen and an exhibition can be discovered.

In the Var
In La-Seyne-sur-Mer : on October 7 and 8, the science village offers exhibitions, conferences and games for the whole family. For example, go to the Var Departmental Museum for a narrated walk to learn more about marine biodiversity.
To Hyeres : on October 7 and 8, discover how art and science can coexist thanks to two street artists who will create live works on the theme of science.

In Vaucluse
In Grillon : from October 7 to 15, Maison Milon offers workshops to discover prehistoric animals, how weightlessness works or even how robotics can garden in place of humans.
In Apt : on October 6 and 7, attend a unique experience with a live banquet. One hundred guests will be able to eat while philosophizing. On October 8, the Vélo Théâtre offers a musical show made with images and sounds collected from a trip to the United States, for example, along the Missouri or in the Canadian forests.
