Canada and Japan Impose Import Restrictions on Poultry from France

Canada, for its part, suspended “temporarily” the importation of live poultry, hatching eggs, and fresh, frozen or raw poultry products from France, while continuing to authorize the products “heat treated, cooked or canned”said the Canadian food inspection agency in a press release.

“It is not known whether meat from vaccinated ducks can be exported to other countries, nor how France will identify, trace and control vaccinated breeding animals”is it justified.

Japan, as expected, also imposed restrictions.
