The group “Dzelzs vilks” was founded in Mālpilis in 1991 by its soloist, guitarist and songwriter Juris Kaukulis, whose timbre of voice, charismatic performance manner and tireless energy cannot be confused with anyone else. Kaspars Tobis (synthesizers), Mārcis Judzis (drums) and Kārlis Alviķis (bass) also play in the band.
