Photo of CCTV footage of the Busan roundhouse kick incident: Yonhap News The man who committed the so-called ‘Busan roundhouse kick incident’, who was sentenced to prison for indiscriminately assaulting a woman on her way home, has now been sent to the prosecution on charges of threatening his ex-girlfriend.

The Busan District Prosecutors’ Office’s Western Branch is investigating Mr. A, the perpetrator of the ‘Busan Roundhouse Kick’ incident, on charges of sending a threatening letter to his ex-girlfriend while he was imprisoned in a detention center.

It is known that Mr. A harbored a grudge against his girlfriend at the time when he was imprisoned in the detention center, saying she did not come to visit him.

The prosecution submitted the threatening letter as sentencing material at Mr. A’s appeal trial.

The prosecution is also separately investigating allegations that Mr. A threatened retaliation against the victim of the assault.

In relation to this, it has been reported that Mr. A has already been sentenced to 30 days of solitary confinement in a correctional facility as punishment.

Mr. A, who is currently being sentenced to 20 years in prison and is being tried as an inmate, may have his sentence added if the prosecution indicts him on both counts of threatening.
