ESSM cycling recently welcomed Mayor David Queiros near the Auguste-Delaune gymnasium during a still summer evening. A barn had been installed for the occasion. The club thanked the mayor, therefore representing the municipality, for his financial support allowing the acquisition of this reception tent. A very useful barnum for following the competitions during the season and in particular the Three Days of Grenoble, at the Palais des Sports, at the end of October.
The mayor said he was happy with his optimistic vision of youth since it was Axel, a young person from the club, who took the initiative to ask him to facilitate the purchase of this equipment, “it’s a beautiful symbol and I am delighted to share this meeting time over a drink,” concluded the councilor. Gilles Ricchiero, president of the club, but also, very recently vice-champion of France in the middle distance with Nathan Chevrier, after his thanks, gave an update on the club. Great prospects are opening up with the arrival of young people at the cycling school this fall, enough to practically double the numbers. New members in other categories also contribute to the vitality of the club. The young Hugo Varcin was selected to participate in the Three Days of Grenoble and Ange Ricchiero, who shone during the Global Games with seven medals including two gold, will play with the French adapted sports pole on Friday October 27 and Saturday October 28 at the Three Grenoble days.
