At the major electronics fair IFA in Berlin, Ecovacs took the opportunity to show off its new flagship. The new robot vacuum cleaner is now available to buy in Sweden.
Ecovac’s Deebot X2 Omni is the company’s latest flagship in the case of robotic vacuum cleaners. This new model has been given a square design to be able to access the corners more easily. This, combined with a suction power of a whopping 8,000 Pa, will ensure that most of the dirt disappears from our floors.
Deebot X2 Omni is equipped with a mop function and a charging station that automatically emptying the dust container and filling with water. The flat design also means that the Deebot X2 Omni is easier to access under furniture thanks to a lack of protruding parts at the top – the height is only 9.5 centimeters. The width of this model is 32 centimeters, which is slightly narrower than most other robot vacuum cleaners on the market. For navigation, a newly developed Semi-Solid-State Lidar is used which is integrated into the robot vacuum cleaner.
In order to access dirt more efficiently, it has been equipped with an extended main brush that is not sandwiched between the wheels. The Omni all-in-one station washes the mop pads in 55 °C water and dries them with hot air. Developed algorithms ensure that the robot vacuum cleaner avoids obstacles with an improved reaction ability, which should provide a smoother movement pattern on the floor.
