This content formed the basis for the preparation and implementation of the latest theater project into a play. In all phases – from the creation of the text book, the play scenes, the dance, the costumes, props and the stage design – the boys and girls were actively integrated into the creation and design processes with ideas and suggestions and the finished play was a success worth seeing joint cooperation in which 14 children took part. The first reading samples and scene games began in January of this year. The premiere took place at the end of September as part of the Intercultural Week in the Ilm district. The children gave five performances in the GS “Am Stollen” music room in front of children from Ilmenau kindergartens and interested students from the “Am Stollen” elementary school. The highlight of the eventful day was the performance in front of parents and relatives of the theater children. Thunderous applause and lots of praise for the actors were the reward for the diligent rehearsal work.
A new play is already being prepared and will be performed in 2024 to mark the 50th school anniversary of the “Am Stollen” elementary school.
