According to Samsung Electronics on the 3rd, Chairman Lee visited the eco-friendly smart city ‘NEOM’ mountain tunnel construction site in which Samsung C&T is participating in Tabuk Province, northwest Saudi Arabia, on the 1st (local time) to check on the progress.
Chairman Lee encouraged executives and employees who are working hard overseas during the holidays and discussed with key executives ways to expand business in the Middle East, which is pursuing a revolution through ‘de-oil’, including Saudi Arabia’s Neom. At this event, he said, “Although we are currently struggling away from our families in a foreign country, let us take on the challenge boldly with the mindset that we are at the forefront where the future of ‘Global Samsung’ is at stake.”
Prior to his visit to Saudi Arabia, Chairman Lee visited the Samsung Electronics factory in Beni Suef Province, central Egypt, on the morning of the 1st to inspect the TV and tablet production site, and on the 28th of last month, he visited the Samsung Electronics Israel R&D Center to discuss local innovative startups. and the status of investment in new technologies.
