Juventus reveal the reasons behind the cancellation of the exchange Dusan Vlahovic with Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku. What’s that?
In this summer’s transfer market, Chelsea is reportedly interested in Vlahovic. With Romelu Lukaku on the sale list, trade rumors have emerged.
In the process, Vlahovic ended up staying at Juventus. The Serbian striker is still contracted until 2026.
Lukaku also finally joined another team. AS Roma is the Belgian striker’s new club.
Juventus Sports Director, Cristiano Giuntoli, confirmed that there was indeed interest expressed by Chelsea in Vlahovic. However, there was no attractive offer for Juventus.
“There is an offer from Chelsea for Vlahovic. We don’t want to sell Dusan, but if we were offered a certain amount, we would accept it,” said Cristiano Giuntoli on 90min.
“Chelsea never reached that figure, and that (Lukaku) exchange never occurred,” he emphasized.
With Juventus this season, Vlahovic immediately showed his best abilities. In six Italian League matches, he has recorded four goals and one assist.
Vlahovic brought in by Juventus from Fiorentina in his first season, he only scored nine goals in all competitions with the Bianconeri.
