The investigation began on September 24, when an elderly woman sought help from the policeafter discovering that a sum of money had been stolen from her home.

Meanwhile, it became clear that The Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office charged the 39-year-old woman from Pernik for committed theft, while she was declared a statewide wanted man in another pre-trial proceeding in which an indictment has been filed, the prosecutor’s office announced.
According to investigators on August 22 at around 3:30 p.m. from an apartment in Borovo district the accused is in Sofia stole a thousand BGN from an 89-year-old woman. She committed the crime while she was wanted, as she violated a “house arrest” measure ordered by the Sofia City Court in another investigation. It is related to three reports of theft of foreign movable property with a total value of BGN 1,442.99 from the possession of different people. The prosecutor’s office requested her permanent arrest, but in December 2022, the court ordered a “house arrest” measure. In June this year however, the prosecutor’s office received information that the measure was violated, and the supervising prosecutor immediately ordered a detention for a period of up to 72 hours. On October 2, the woman was found by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and detained for 72 hours.
A motion to remand the accused is pending before the court.
