Shooting deadly incident occurred at a luxury mall in Bangkok, Thailand, with at least three people reported dead. The shooter has been arrested by local police.
As reported Reuters and AFPTuesday (3/10/2023), local emergency services reported that at least three people were killed and three others were injured in a shooting at a luxury mall called Siam Paragon in Bangkok on Tuesday (3/10) local time.
Local television station PBS reported that five people were injured.
Prime Minister (PM) Srettha Thavisin in a statement to journalists said the perpetrator had been arrested after surrendering himself. Thavisin also said hundreds of people fled the mall when the shooting occurred.
“The perpetrator of the attack has been arrested. In fact, he surrendered himself,” Srettha told reporters, as quoted AFP.
“The police are cleaning the scene. The situation is starting to calm down,” he added.
Local Thai media reports also said that police had arrested a gunman who was a suspect in the shooting.
